Tri-Cities Board is the free community hub for Port Coquitlam, Port Moody and Coquitlam. Concepts is the other half of that work. We rebuild websites for the organizations, businesses and creatives who make things happen here — usually as a collaboration, sometimes as paid work, and only when it is a fit.

Every concept here is a finished, working website you can open on your phone and click through. We build them before anyone asks, at our own cost, so the conversation starts with something real instead of a quote.

How this works
We build first and talk after.
Nobody signs anything to see their concept. We would rather show you what your organization could have than describe it in a meeting.
We choose a project
Usually one we already noticed — a team, a non-profit, a shop whose work deserves more attention than its website gives it.
We build the concept
A real, working site in your colours with your content, at our cost. You get a private link you can forward to your board.
You tear it apart
Tell us what we got wrong, what is missing, and what your volunteers actually need. This is the part that matters most.
We finish it, or we don’t
We set it up, hand you a CMS to run the content, and step back. Add managed support if you want us to stay on. Walking away costs you nothing.
Who we say yes to
We choose the projects, and we say no often.
This is not an agency and we are not trying to fill a pipeline. A small team can only do a few of these properly at once, so we would rather be honest about how we pick.

- The work is worth more attention than it gets Teams, non-profits, clubs, small businesses and creatives who already do the thing well.

Why we are doing this at all
Tri-Cities Board is free to the community. Residents browse and join for nothing, and organizations, businesses and creatives get discovery and engagement without a bill.
That only works if the good ones are actually on it. So instead of selling ads at people, we build the thing they were never going to get around to, and ask them to show up on the Board in return.
It is a trade, not a favour. You get a website you would have paid thousands for. The Tri-Cities gets one more place worth finding.
What it costs
We would rather collaborate than invoice.
Two doors in, and one optional add-on once the site is yours. Most organizations we work with come through the first door.
Collaboration
We design and build the site, set it up, hand you a CMS to run the content, and step back. You bring your organization onto Tri-Cities Board and keep it alive there.

Managed service
For organizations that would rather not think about the plumbing. We stay on so it keeps working smoothly, and you keep running the content.

- Major overhauls need a meeting on time and scope, and may be billable
Paid work
Some organizations need to own it outright, on their own timeline, with a contract and a support agreement behind it. That is a fair thing to want.
